Artisanal Joven Mezcal – 46% Alc. By Vol.

Agave maturation: 6 – 8 years

Espadín is the agave that requires the least time to mature, serving as the first

impression and introduction to the work of the maestro mezcalero. Crafted from

organic agaves grown at Hacienda Carreño, with 6 to 8 years of maturation, free

from pesticides and chemical herbicides.

Organoleptic Analysis

Appearance: Crystalline.

Nose: Citrus, herbal and light toasted nuances.

Palate: Citrus notes of lemon, mandarin, grapefruit and guava, with subtle toasted

flavors, green fruit, and wet grass. This mezcal offers strength and delicate

acidity, with a harmonious and balanced body.

Agave maturation: 10 – 12 years

Tobalá is the most respected and revered wild agave variety in Oaxaca. If

you attend an important celebration, it’s best to bring a bottle of Tobalá. Its

delicate nature makes it a favorite, especially among women.

Organoleptic Analysis

Appearance: Crystalline.

Nose: Delicate with rich nuances of apple, peach, and floral notes.

Palate: Complex and powerful, with a structured profile. Soft notes of

almonds and fresh fruit, complemented by an exquisite floral touch that

envelops the palate in a velvety finish.

Agave maturation: 12 – 15 years

This wild variety thrives in the arid regions of the Central Valleys of

Oaxaca, reaching maturity between 12 to 15 years. Its flavor is deeply

influenced by the terroir where it grows.

Organoleptic Analysis

Appearance: Crystalline.

Nose: Nuances of green stalk, earth, ash, and a hint of rosemary.

Palate: Unique earthy flavor with green stalk and ash notes. Vibrant and

full of energy, with a bouquet that leaves a persistent aftertaste.

Agave maturation: 20 – 25 years

One of the oldest wild varieties of agave, Tepeztate grows in rocky areas and

steep cliffs.

Organoleptic Analysis

Appearance: Crystalline with silver reflections.

Nose: Rich in nuances, with olfactory persistance and mineral notes.

Palate: Structured, with mineral notes from the rocky terrain where it grows.

Balanced yet powerful, offering harmony with flavors of cooked agave, hints

of herbs, chives, and jalapeño.
